Our Story
Jeff Hazell owns and operates Boston Lobster Feast, a chain of two popular seafood restaurants in the Orlando and Kissimmee area, was the founder of Bar Harbor Lobster Co., Florida's largest wholesale seafood company. In 2017 Mr. Hazell sold the assets of the wholesale company to PFG (Performance Food Group) , the country’s second-largest Broadliner food distributor. He started Bar Harbor in the garage of his house in 1986, just three years after he graduated from the University of New Haven in 1983 with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. He opened his first Boston Lobster Feast in 1991. Throughout his 35-year career, Jeff has had seven different restaurants, purchased two different wholesale seafood companies, and owned two food trucks selling lobster salad rolls.

Humble beginnings
It all began with that lowly but highly coveted crustacean known as the New England lobster. Jeff Hazell knew it well, having been raised in a family of lobstermen. He had left the traps behind for an apprentice program at Walt Disney World, when it occurred to him the market for New England lobster was wide open around here.
So, his fishermen friends in Massachusetts began shipping him live lobsters, which he then sold out of his garage to area restaurants.
Our Facility

In 2022, Boston Wholesale Seafood began construction of our newest warehouse facility to continue and provide customers with the freshest, highest-quality seafood available. The warehouse consists of 18,000 sq. feet facility, 8,000 sq. feet freezer, 8,000 sq. feet cooler & processing room and live lobster tanks. We specialize in fresh-caught fish, shellfish, and other seafood products, including shrimp, and oysters and whole-live lobsters.
